Born Oct. 27, 1788. Succeeded bis father, Robert, the late Earl, June 29, 1820. Married, first, Jan. 9, 1813, MariaFrances-Catheriue, second daughter of Lord Le Despencer, and by her (who died February 25, 1861) had issue, Robert, Viscount Jocelyn, born Feb. 20, 1816, who died August 12, 1854, having married, April 27, 1841, Frances-Elizabeth, sister of Earl Cowper, and had issue, Robert, Viscount Jocelyn, born November 22, 1846; and otber children. The Earl married, second, Aug. 16, 1862, Clementina-Janet, widow of Capt. Robert-Lushington Reilly. The Earl has other children.
