are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?

19 What things?

25 O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:

26 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?

36 Peace be unto you.

38 Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?

39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

41 Have

ye here any meat?

44 These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

46 Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jeru

salem.

48 And ye are witnesses of these things.

49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

Chapter 3.

38 WHAT seek ye?

39 Come and see.

42 Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by. interpretation, A stone.

43 Follow me.

47 Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile !

48 Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.

50 Because I said unto thee, I saw

thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.

51 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.

Chapter SI.

4 WOMAN, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come. 7 Fill the waterpots with water. 8 Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast.

16 Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise.

19 Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.

Chapter 333.

3 VERILY, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

5 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of

the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

10 Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?

11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.

12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
