Commissioner SCHMITT presented a report from the Auditing Committee, to whom was referred the communication from F. R. Hall, complaining against an employee of the Board, stating that Mr. Hall alleges that while passing the Hall of the Board on April 3, 1885, in company of his wife, he sustained damages to the amount of $50, by water which fell upon his own and her clothing from an upper window of the building. Mr. Hall asks that the Board compensate him for the alleged injury. The Committee examined into the facts, and heard Mr. Hall, Mrs. Hall, and the Janitor. It appeared that an assistant of the Janitor was cleaning windows on the third floor; a cup was used for washing the windows. Mr. Hall was passing at the time, and a little of the water possibly fell upon them. The Committee are of the opinion that no serious damage was occasioned by the occurrence. The following resolution is submitted for adoption : Resolved, That the complaint of F. R. Hall against an employee of the Board of Education, claiming damages to the amount of fifty dollars ($50), be, and the same is hereby dismissed. Laid over under the rule.
