The Ancestors and Descendants of Zachariah Eddy of Warren, PaTuttle Company, 1930 - 332 pages Samuel Eddy was born in 1608 at Cranbrook, Kent, England, the son of Rev. William and Mary Fosten Eddye. He immigrated to America in 1630, landing at Plymouth. He and his wife, Elizabeth, had five children, 1637-1647. He died at Swansea, Massachusetts in 1688. His descendant, Zachariah Eddy, was born in 1778, in Massachusetts, probably at Middleboro, the son of Nathan Eddy (1733-1804) and Eunice Sampson Eddy (1737-1802). He married Rose Stewart, daughter of James and Catharine Hood Stewart of Sugar Grove, Pennsylvania, in 1804. They had eight children, 1805-1826. He died in 1872 at Warren, Pennsylvania. Descendants listed lived in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and elsewhere. |
