I wasn't sure about this book at the half way mark. This is one tome that I am glad to have pressed on to the end. Our main character is clearly unwell: he succeeds at his job, in Wall Street, almost ... Read full review

When I read this book, I, as other reviewers, had to put it down for several days at a time to recover. The brutal depictions of rape, murder, torture, and callousness affected me deeply, and for ... Read full review

Amazing book. Beautifully controlled masterpiece. Not boring at all. Don't read this if you want a conventional serial killer story. This is more of a satirical statement and a very well-written window into the mind of an insane wall-street yuppie.

Not for everyone, a personal favorite of mine
Certain types of people will fall madly in love with this book. More will find it grotesque. If you're the type who does not shy away from a bit of the
old ultra-violence, the type whose interest piqued at the description of the book as well as the controversy surrounding it, you owe it to yourself to read this book. For my money, this is the most off the wall entertaining book I've yet come across. Highly recommended.
