§ 3. First ward. Beginning at the intersection of the middle of North Genesee street with the middle of the Mohawk river (new channel); thence easterly along the middle of the Mohawk river

to the boundary line between the counties of Oneida and Herkimer, the city line; thence southerly along the said boundary line between the counties of Oneida and Herkimer to the middle of the Erie canal; thence westerly along the middle of the Erie canal to the middle of Genesee street; thence along the middle of Genesee street and North Genesee street to the place of beginning.

Second ward. Beginning at the intersection of the middle of North Genesee street with the middle of the Mohawk river (new channel); thence westerly along the middle of the Mohawk river to the city line; thence southerly along the city line and the old city line to the middle of the Erie canal; thence easterly along the middle of the Erie canal to the middle of Genesee street; thence northerly along the middle of Genesee street and North Genesee street to the place of beginning.

Third ward. Beginning at the intersection of the middle of Genesee street with the middle of the Erie canal; thence westerly along the middle of the Erie canal to the middle of the old Chenango canal; thence southerly along the middle of the old Chenango canal to the middle of Mandeville street, extended to the middle of the old Chenango canal; thence easterly along the middle of Mandeville street to the middle of Cornelia street; thence northerly along the middle of Cornelia street to the middle of Cornelia place; thence easterly along the middle of Cornelia place to the middle of Genesee street; thence northerly along the middle of Genesee street to the middle of the Erie canal, the place of beginning.

Fourth ward. Beginning at the intersection of the middle of the Erie canal with the middle of Genesee street; thence southerly along the middle of Genesee street to the middle of South street; thence easterly along the middle of South street to the middle of Seymour avenue; thence northerly along the middle of Seymour avenue to the middle of Rutger street; thence westerly along the middle of Rutger street to the middle of John street; thence northerly along the middle of John street to the middle of the Erie canal; thence westerly along the middle of the Erie canal to the place of beginning.

Fifth ward. Beginning at the intersection of the middle of John street with the middle of the Erie canal; thence easterly along the middle of the Erie canal to the Eighth ward boundary line (being a line three hundred feet east of the east line of Third street); thence southerly along the said Eighth ward line, three hundred feet east of the east line of Third street to the middle of Elizabeth street; thence westerly along the middle of Elizabeth street to the middle of John street; thence northerly along the middle of John street to the place of beginning.

Sixth ward. Beginning at the intersection of the middle of the old Chenango canal with the middle of Columbia street; thence westerly along the middle of Columbia street to the middle of Whitesboro street; thence continuing westerly along the middle of Whitesboro street to a point one hundred twenty feet west of the west line of Andes avenue; thence northerly parallel with Andes avenue to the middle of the Erie canal; thence easterly

along the middle of the Erie canal to the middle of the old Chenango canal; thence southerly along the middle of the old Chenango canal to the place of beginning.

Seventh ward. Beginning at the intersection of the middle of Genesee street with the middle of South street, running thence southwesterly along the middle of Genesee street to the intersection with the southerly line of Prospect street; thence easterly along the southerly line of Prospect street to the center of Oneida street; thence southerly along Oneida street to the southerly boundary line of the Forest Hill cemetery; thence easterly, southerly and northerly along the southerly boundary line of the Forest Hill cemetery and the city line to the intersection of said city line with the middle of Pleasant street; thence westerly along the middle of Pleasant street to the middle of Steuben street; thence northerly along the middle of Steuben street to the middle of South street; thence westerly along the middle of South street to the place of beginning.

Eighth ward. Beginning at the intersection of the middle of the Erie canal with the Oneida and Herkimer counties boundary line; thence southerly along the said Oneida and Herkimer counties boundary line to the south side of New York, West Shore and Buffalo railroad; thence westerly along the south side of the New York, West Shore and Buffalo railroad to the middle of Culver avenue; thence southerly along the middle of Culver avenue to the middle of Rutger street; thence westerly along the middle of Rutger street to the middle of Ballou's creek; thence northerly along the middle of Ballou creek to a point three hundred feet east of the east line of Third street; then continuing northerly three hundred feet east of Third street and parallel with Third street to the middle of the Erie canal; thence easterly along the middle of the Erie canal to the place of beginning.

Ninth ward. Beginning at the intersection of the middle of the old Chenango canal with the middle of Columbia street; running thence southwesterly along the middle of the old Chenango canal to the middle of Hicks street (now Lenox avenue); thence northerly along the middle of Hicks street (now Lenox avenue) to the middle of Court street; thence westerly along the middle of Court street to the middle of Whitesboro street; thence easterly along the middle of Whitesboro street, to the middle of Columbia street; thence continuing easterly along the middle of Columbia street to the place of beginning.

Tenth ward. Beginning at the intersection of the middle of John street with the middle of Elizabeth street; running thence southerly along the middle of John street to the middle of Rutger street; thence easterly along the middle of Rutger street to the middle of Seymour avenue; thence southerly along the middle of Seymour avenue to the middle of South street; thence easterly along the middle of South street to the middle of Saint Vincent street; thence northerly along the middle of Saint Vincent street to the middle of Rutger street; thence along the middle of Rutger street to a point three hundred feet east of the east line of Third street; thence continuing northerly parallel to the east line of Third

street and three hundred feet distant therefrom, to the middle of Elizabeth street; thence westerly along the middle of Elizabeth street to the middle of John street, the place of beginning.

Eleventh ward. Beginning at the intersection of the middle of Genesee street with the middle of Cornelia place; thence southwesterly along the middle of Genesee street to the intersection of the southerly line of Prospect street; thence westerly along the extension of the southerly line of Prospect street to the southerly boundary line of the right of way line of the New York, Ontario and Western railroad; thence continuing westerly and northerly along the city line to a point forty hundred seven and eight-tenths feet from the southerly line of the Burrstone road; thence northeasterly along the former city line fourteen hundred and eleven feet to the easterly line of Churchill avenue; thence southerly along the east line of Churchill avenue and the extension of said line to the middle of Burrstone road; thence northeasterly and easterly along the middle of Burrstone road to the middle of the old Chenango canal; thence northeasterly along the middle of the old Chenango canal to its intersection with the middle of Mandeville street extended; thence easterly along the middle of Mandeville street to the middle of Cornelia street; thence northerly along the middle of Cornelia street to the middle of Cornelia place; thence easterly along the middle of Cornelia place to the place of beginning.

Beginning at the intersection of the middle of South street with the middle of Neilson street; running thence southerly along the middle of Neilson street to the middle of Pleasant street; thence easterly along the middle of Pleasant street to the middle of Clementian street; thence along the middle of Clementian street to the middle of Emily street; thence westerly along the middle of Emily street to the middle of Saint Vincent street; thence northerly along the middle of Saint Vincent street and Saint Vincent street produced and extended to the middle of South street; thence westerly along the middle of South street to the place of beginning.
