The Waste Land is T.S. Eliot's very famous, complicated but interesting poem published in 1922.It comprises of five parts namely:The Burial of the Dead,AGame of Chess,The Fire Sermon,Death by Water and What the thundr said.In this poem Eliot presents the modern age,the type of things people are engaged into, the level of their degradation morally, spiritually and intellectually. All in all what the poet tried to express is the chaos in modern age and that everything is fragmented and this can also be seen into the way Eliot has written his poem,it is also fragmented but connected only by a blind prophet who is telling us that what is actually happening. So in all the four parts eliot forms the base for the problems or the chaos and reflects the worst level of its effectsbon peoples and in the last part of the poem he provides the solution, the hope for getting out of this chaotic life that is three DAs.First Da-to give,Da-to sympathize an d Da-self control. And also he provides the ways to achieve these three solutins which death by burning means a rebirth, purifiacation by death not physically. At last he says only then one can live his life peacefully...Shantih,Shantih,Shantih.
