P. Gouvreau and Joseph Pineau, over and above the sum remaining in the hands of the Commissioners of the said road.— County of Ottawa: A sum not exceeding five hundred pounds currency, for completing the road leading from Grenville to Hull, (on the west bank of the river Gatineau, in the townships of Templeton and Hull; (opened in the year eighteen hundred and thirty-one, under the superintendance of Tiberius Wright, and to make bridges and causeways on the said road when required. County of Lothbinière: A sum not exceeding sixty-seven pounds ten shillings currency, for continuing the road between the third and fourth concessions in the seigniories of Lothbiniere and Deschaillons, over and above the balance of seven pounds ten shillings, remaining in the hands of the Commissioners for the said road. II. And be it further enacted by the authority aforesaid, that the following sums now remaining in the hands of the Commissioners or of the Receiver Acts and not General of the Province, as the balances of the sums appropriated by divers Acts expended, in of the Legislature, and more especially by the Act passed in the first year of His and to what Majesty's Reign, chapter eight, and intituled, "An Act to appropriate ertains sums "of money therein mentioned, for the improvement of the Internal Communica "tions of this Province," remaining unexpended as aforesaid, shall be severally appropriated to the purposes for which the sums of which they respectively form the balances were originally appropriated, except such sums as are by this section appropriated to the purposes herein especially mentioned. And it shall be lawful for the Governor, Lieutenant Governor or person administering the Government by Warrant to advance such sums unto, or to authorise the expenditure of such sums by the Commissioners to be appointed or continue in office, under the authority of this Act, or (as the case may be) to cause the same to be paid by the Commissioners in whose hands they may respectively now be, to the Receiver General, in order that they may be advanced to the Commissioners under whose superintendance they are to be applied under the authority of this Act, that is to say-County of Beauce: The sum of one hundred and twenty-one pounds eight shillings and five pence currency, for improving the Kenebec road. Same County: the sum of one hundred and eighty pounds eighteen shillings and three farthings currency, for straightening the road des Plaines, in the parish of Saint Joseph, and for constructing bridges on the same.
