I have used Mollie's books since they first came out and have given them as gifts constantly over the years since I first discovered them. Many of my books show their age but I won't let them go for anything. Mollie was an early subscriber to wholesome vegetarian dishes. She has only improved upon them giving us an ever greater harvest of vegetarian and healthy cooking with no equals. I feel that when I use her recipes, Mollie is there in my kitchen with her warmth and guidance. I have never met her but have been an advocate of hers for many years. I have not found a single recipe that wasn't excellent.
When I was young, in the olden days, I went to bed with a pot from the kitchen because I was constantly sick to my stomach. We have seen in our family that several have had the same experience but now we address this problem by going gluten free. I have many food allergies and now don't have to use that pot thanks to people like Mollie who understand diet and deliciousness as two inseparable partners.
I will always pledge allegiance to Mollie Katzen and this year, I have pledged to complete my collection of every single Mollie Katzen cookbook. With young marrieds in our family, Mollie is only going to increase and multiply in our family.
