In the Steps of ShakespeareTakes you on a tour of the scenes of Shakespeare's plays which are set in the United Kingdom. Evokes the Elizabethan setting and compares it with that of 1940s Britain (contemporary at the time of writing). Following a couple of introductory chapters, each chapter looks at the scenes in a particular geographical location (e.g. Kent, Windsor, Scotland, Northumberland, Shropshire, etc.). Includes some commentary on the plays. |
