About the author (2017)

Leslie A. Davidson has always been a writer, though it wasn't until retirement that she finally found time for the stories that tapped on her consciousness throughout years of teaching and parenting. Leslie's writing celebrates the things that matter most to her: family, friendship and the natural world. In the Red Canoe is her first picture book. Laura Bifano grew up in the rainy Pacific Northwest of Canada, where she spent her days running around in the forest and drawing pictures.
