Part 3 indexes film titles and provides translations into English or French where appropriate. My family is one of the most well known names in media and entertainment field in Egypt and all over the Arab world.
Abd elhay Adeeb , my father .. he was the most important in the history of the Arab cinema as script writer , his name was mentioned 5 times in the international history of cinema ( please check George Saddle book and 1101 and the latest book movies you have to see before you die)
Emad Adeeb , my brother .. the most respected political analyst in the middle east and columnist .. he has his successful TV program for more than 13 years .also he owns one of the biggest media and entertainment companies in the middle east .
Amr Adeeb , my brother .. he the most well known TV show presenter in the middle east
His show on TV is number one for the last 12 years and ongoing. Also his wife lames El Hadidy is a well known journalist and TV presenter .
Manal Salama .. my wife .. she's the most respectable TV and theater actress and star .
Also her late father was a theatrical director and her brother now is a young well known cinema and TV star.
And then me … I am the youngest in my family..

About the author (2008)

Roy Armes is Professor Emeritus of Film at Middlesex University in the United Kingdom. He has published many works on film, including Arab and African Film Making (with Lizbeth Malkmus), Dictionary of North African Film Makers, Postcolonial Images (IUP, 2005), and African Filmmaking (IUP, 2006).
