HARLOW PUBLISHING COMPANY 1924 FOREWORD This edition of the Acts of the two special sessions of the ninth Legislature of 1923 and 1924 is the offical edition under the provisions of Senate concurrent resolution No. 15, on page 221 of this book and has been prepared by the Harlow Publishing Company uniformly with the editions of the last five sessions. In producing this book great care has been exercised to cause to read precisely as the enrolled bills read, and the spelling an punctuation of the enrolled bills have been followed throughout, so that this book is an exact transcript of the laws as they were actually passed and enrolled by the Legislature. In several instances and especially in House Bill 47, Chapter 139, the black faced heads appearing over each section of the bill are those of the framers of the act and not of the Editors of this book. All other acts have been edited by the publishing company and attention is called to this difference in order to explain the apparent break in the style of this book. A careful and thorough index has been prepared to these Acts so as to make their contents readily accessible to the searcher; however without making such index unwieldly by reason of the amount of matter contained in same. The proof of these Acts was read and checked against the enrolled bills by Mr. D. G. Collums, acting under the direction of the Secretary of the Senate. The editorial work, head notes and index are the work of Mr. Frank Eagin of the Harlow Publishing Company. This book contains the Acts of both special sessions but no break beyond that of a new title page has been indicated in this work; the chapters and page numbers being continuous.
