The operations of the surveying service in this district embrace agricultural, timber, and mineral lands. Forty-two townships were surveyed, embracing 237,961.43 acres of agricultural and timber lands, 5,041.56 acres of mineral lands, and 16,933.33 acres of coal lands, making a total of 259,936.32 acres.
