An Act to provide for the Extension of the Boundaries of the Province of Manitoba.

Whereas, by chapter twenty-eight of the Acts of the Parliament Preamble. of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, passed in the session held in the thirty-fourth and thirty-fifth years of Her Majesty's reign, intituled "An Act respecting the establishment of Provinces in the Dominion of Canada," it is enacted that "the Parliament of Canada may from time to time, with the consent of the Legislature of any Province of the said Dominion, increase, diminish, or otherwise alter the limits of such Province, upon such terms and conditions as may be agreed to by the said Legislature, and may, with the like consent, make provision respecting the effect and operation of any such increase or diminution or alteration of territory in relation to the Province affected thereby";

And whereas, it is expedient and desirable that the boundaries of the Province of Manitoba should be increased on terms and conditions of a just character;

Therefore the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba enacts as follows:

I. The Legislative Assembly of Manitoba consents that the Boundaries of Parliament of Canada may increase or otherwise alter the limits of the Province of Manitoba upon the terms and conditions set out in this Act, and may make provisions respecting the effect and operation of any such increase or alteration of territory; the increase or alteration of the limits of the Province to be so that the boundaries thereof shall be as follows:-Commencing at the intersection of the International Boundary dividing Canada from the United States of America, by the westerly limit of the road allowance between the twenty-sixth and twenty-seventh ranges of
