An Act to alter for One Year, and until the End of the then next
Session of Parliament, the Duty on Wheat the Produce of the
British Possessions in North America.

WHEREAS it is expedient to permit, for a Time to be limited, the Importation of Wheat the Produce of and imported from the British Possessions in North America, on the Payment of a certain Duty; be it therefore enacted by the King's most Excellent Majesty, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Com- Prohibitions on the mons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the Authority of the Importation of Wheat, same, That for One Year from and after the passing of this Act, and British P.-sessions in further until the End of the then next Session of Parliament, all Prohi- North America, and the Duties payable bitions and Restrictions upon the Importation of Wheat the Produce of, under 55 G 3 e 26; and Imported from the British Possessions in North America, and all Du- and also under 3 G. 4. ties payable on the Importation of such Wheat under an Act passed in for a limited Time. the Fifty fifth Year of the Reign of His late Majesty, intituled An Act to amend the Laws now in force for regulating the Importation of Corn; and also, an Act passed in the Third Year of the Reign of His present Majesty, intituled An Act to amend the Laws relating to the Importation of Corn; or any other Act or Acts in force immediately before the passing of this Act, shall be and are hereby suspended; and that for One Year from and after the passing of this Act, and further until the End of the then next session of l'arliament, any Wheat, the Produce of, and imported from the British Possessions in North America, shall and may be Imported
