Camp Picton: A Storied 70 Years in a Canadian Military Training Camp

Joanne Courneya-Fralick was born in eastern Ontario and attended Loyalist College, completing a two year Print Journalism program. She has worked in the media as a reporter/photographer since the early 1980’s, writing for numerous publications. Following an interest in local history, she served a term as president of the Tweed and Area Historical Society. She lives in a former Private Military Quarters house in Picton, Ontario, next to the former Camp Picton along with her husband and research assistant Martin (whose father served in the Signals Corps in WW II) and son Robert.
