The case was referred to the Stewards of the Jockey Club who decided that Enchanter was disqualified under Kule 37 (iv.), he having been wilfully entered in the name of a person whose interest in the horse had ceased previous to the time of entry, and awarded the race to Nankin, who came in second, beating Hamptonia by a head. Nankin was put up to auction at Sandown Park, on July 21st, and sold to Mr Goddard for 155gs.
