to enforce the payments of such sum, or sums, as may at any time be due on their stock.
6. And be it enacted, That the capital stock of the said Association shall be deemed personal property, and that the shares of stock shall be transferable only on the books of the Association, under such regu. lations as the Board of Directors may prescribe.
7. And be it enacted, That no State, County, City, Township, or other public assessments, taxes, or charges whatsoever, shall at any time be levied or imposed upon the said Association, or upon the stocks and estates which may become vested in them under this Act, other than their lands and tenements.
8. And be it enacted, That this Corporation shall possess the gen. eral powers, and be subject to the restrictions and liabilities contained in the Act, entitled "An Act concerning Corporations," approved the fourteenth day of February, one thousand, eight hundred and forty-six, as far as the same are applicable.
