For the payment of services and the necessary expenses incurred by the Bureau of Railways of the Department of Internal Affairs, in the investigation ways. of complaints made against corporations, under section eleven, article seventeen, of the Constitution, and the fourth and fifth sections of the act approved the eleventh day of May, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four, two years, the sum of two thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary; to be paid upon the warrant of the Auditor General upon the presentation of specifically itemized vouchers certified by the Secretary of Internal Affairs, and approved by him.

For the payment of clerk hire, two years, the sum of seventeen thousand four hundred dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary; for extra clerical assistance necessary in the distribution of the appropriation to the common schools, two years, the sum of six hundred dollars: Provided, That the sum paid for such clerical assistance shall not exceed one hun dred dollars per month, for three months of each of said two years.

For the payment of the expenses of the State Normal School examiners, two years, the sum of four

thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary.

For the payment of the salary of the Second Assistant State Librarian, two years, the sum of three thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may be neces sary.

For the payment of the salary of the clerk for two years, the sum of two thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary.

For the payment of the salary of an assistant in charge of the Division of Public Records in connec tion with the State Library, for two years, the sum of three thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary.

For the purchase of such of the English Parliamentary papers as may be deemed advisable by the Librarian and the trustees of the State Library, the sum of seven hundred and fifty dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary.

For the purchase of miscellaneous books, two years, the sum of twelve thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary.

For the payment of the services of a stenographer and typewriter two years, the sum of two thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary.

For the payment of the salary of the cataloguer in Cataloguer. the State Library for the completion of the law catalogue to be published during the present year, and for the continuation of the regular cataloguing work of the Library, two years, the sum of three thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary: Provided, That the said cataloguer shall not receive more than one hundred and twenty-five dollars per month for the time actually employed.
