LXIV. And be it further enacted, That if any Perfon or Perfons fhall, in any Street or public Place in any parochial or other District within the Jurifdiction of this Act, at any Time or Times. hereafter, beat or duft any Carpet or Carpets; or shall drive any Carriage or Carriages, for the Purpose of breaking, exercifing, or trying Horfes; or fhall ride any Horse, Mare, or Gelding, for the Purpose of exercifing, airing, trying, fhewing, or expofing fuch Horfe, Mare, or Gelding for Sale, (otherwife than by paffing through fuch Streets or other public Places); or fhall throw, caft, or lay, or fhall cause, permit, or fuffer to be thrown, caft, or laid, or to remain, any Ashes, Duft, Dirt, Rubbish, Offal, Dung, Soil, Blood, or other Filth or Annoyance, or any Matter or Thing, in or upon the Carriageway or Footway Pavement of any fuch Street or other public Place in any parochial or other District within the Jurifdiction of this Act; or fhall kill, flaughter, fcald, drefs, or cut up any Beast, Swine, Calf, Sheep, Lamb, or other Cattle, in or fo near to any of the faid Streets or other public Places as that any Blood or Filth fhall run or flow upon or over, or be on any or either of fuch Pavements; or fhall run, roll, drive, draw, or place, or caufe, permit, or fuffer to be run, rolled, driven, drawn, or placed, upon any of the faid Footway Pavements of any Street or public Place in any parochial or other District within the Jurifdiction of this Act, any Waggon, Cart, Dray, Sledge, or other Carriage, or any Wheel, Wheelbarrow, Handbarrow, or Truck, or any Hogfhead, Cask, or Barrel, or fhall wilfully ride, lead, or drive any Horse, Ass, Mule, or other Beaft, upon any of the Footway Pavements aforefaid; then and in every fuch Cafe it fhall and may be lawful to and for any Juftice of the Peace for the City, Borough, or County wherein any fuch parochial or other District may be fituate, and he is hereby required, upon Complaint to him made upon Oath or Affirmation of One or more

credible Witness or Witneffes, to iffue a Summons requiring fuch Offender or Offenders to appear before him at fuch Time and Place as fhall be in fuch Summons specified; or it fhall and may be lawful to and for any Perfon or Perfons whomfoever, who fhall fee any fuch Offence committed, if he or they fhall think proper, to feize, and alfo for any other Perfon or Perfons to affift in feizing, fuch Offender or Offenders by the Authority of this Act, and by fuch Authority, and without any other Authority or Warrant whatsoever, to convey fuch Offender or Offenders before fome Justice of the Peace for the City, Borough, or County wherein any fuch parochial or other District may be fituate; and upon the Party or Parties appearing in pursuance. of fuch Summons, or not appearing after having been fo fummoned, or being brought before fuch Justice when fo feized or otherwife, he the faid Juftice shall proceed to examine upon Oath or Affirmation any Witness or Witneffes who fhall appear or be produced to give Evidence touching fuch Offence; and if the Party or Parties accused shall be convicted of any or either of the Offences aforefaid upon his or their own Confeffion, or upon the Oath or Affirmation of one or more credible Witness or Witnesses as aforefaid, then and in every fuch Cafe the Perfon or Perfons fo convicted fhall forfeit and pay a Sum not lefs than Forty Shillings nor exceeding Five Pounds for each and every Offence; and that one Moiety of every fuch Penalty fhall be paid to the Informer or Informers, or to the Person or Perfons who fhall apprehend fuch Offender or Offenders; and the other Moiety thereof fhall be paid to the Treasurer or Treasurers of the Commiffioners, Trustees, or other Perfons having the Control of the Pavements in the Streets or public Places in the parochial or other District wherein any fuch Offence or Offences fhall have been committed. LXV. And

LXV. And be it further enacted, That if any Perfon or Perfons at any Time or Times hereafter fhall fet or place, or caufe or permit to be set other Matters or placed by any Servant or Perfon employed by him, her, or them, or otherwife, any Stall Board, Chopping Block, Shew Board, on Hinges or otherwife, Basket, Wares, Merchandize, Casks, or Goods of any Kind whatsoever; or fhall hoop, place, wash, or cleanse, or cause to be hooped, washed, cleanfed, any Pipe, Barrel, Cafk, or Veffel, in or upon or over any Part of the Carriage or Footways in any Streets or public Places in any parochial or other District within the Jurifdiction of this A&; or fhall fet out, lay, or place, or caufe or procure, permit or fuffer to be fet out, laid, or placed, any Coach, Cart, Wain, Waggon, Dray, Wheelbarrow, Handbarrow, Sledge, Truck, or other Carriage upon any of the faid Carriage Ways, (except fuch Coaches, Chariots, and Chairs as have been or fhall be hereafter licensed by the Commiffioners for regulating and licenfing Hackney Coaches, Chariots, and Chairs, and which stand for Hire according to the Statutes and Bye-Laws made for those Purposes), and also except for the neceffary Time of loading or unloading any Cart, Wain, Waggon, Dray, Sledge, Truck, or other Carriage, or taking up or fetting down any Fare, or waiting for Paffengers when actually hired, or harneffing or unharneffing the Horses from any Coach, Cart, Wain, Waggon, Dray, Sledge, Truck, or other Carriage; or if any Perfon or Perfons fhall fet or place, or cause to be fet or placed, in or upon or over any of the faid Carriage or Footways, any Timber, Stones, Bricks, Lime, or other Materials or Things for building whatsoever (unless the fame fhall be inclosed as in and by any local Act or Acts of Parliament, or by this Act, or fome of them, may be directed), or any other Matters or Things whatsoever; or shall hang out or expose, or cause or permit to be hung

out or expofed, any Meat or Offal, or other Matter or Thing whatsoever, from any Houfe or Houses or other Buildings or Premises belonging to or occupied by him, her, or them, over any Part of either of fuch Pavements, or over any Area or Areas of any Houses or other Buildings or Premifes, or fhall place or put out, or caufe or permit to be placed or put out, any Garden or other Pots (except the fame thall be perfectly fecured from falling, to the Satisfaction of the Commiffioners or Trustees or other Perfons having the Control of the Pavements in any fuch parochial or other District, or of their Surveyor of the Pavements for the Time being), or any other Matter or Thing, from and on the Outfide of the Front or any other Part of any Houfe or Houses, or other Buildings or Premises, over or next unto any fuch Street or public Place; and shall not immediately remove all or any fuch Matters or Things, being thereunto required by any Surveyor or Surveyors of Pavements, or by any other Person or Perfons employed or appointed by the Commiffioners, Trustees, or other Perfons having the Control of the Pavements in any parochial or other District; and whether the fame fhall have been fo fet or placed, expofed or put out by himself, herself, or themselves perfonally, or by any of his, her, or their Servants, or by any Person or Perfons employed by him, her, or them, and fhall not continue and keep the fame fo removed; or if any Perfon or Perfons, having, in pursuance of any fuch Requifition or Requifitions as aforefaid, removed or caused to be removed any fuch Stall Board, Shew Board, Chopping Block, Basket, Wares, Merchandize, Casks, Goods, Coach, Cart, Wain, Waggon, Dray, Wheelbarrow, Handbarrow, Sledge, Truck, Carriage, Timber, Stones, Bricks, Lime, Meat, Offal, Garden Pots, or other Matters or Things, fhall at any Time thereafter again fet, lay, or place, expose, or put out, or caufe, procure, permit, or fuffer to be again fet, laid, or placed,

expofed or put out, the fame or any of them, or any other Stall Board, Shew Board, Chopping Block, Basket, Wares, Merchandize, Goods, Coach, Cart, Wain, Waggon, Dray, Wheelbarrow, Handbarrow, Sledge, Truck, Timber, Stones, Bricks, Lime, Meat, Offal, Garden Pots, or other Matters or Things whatsoever (fave and except as aforefaid), in or upon or over any of the Carriage or Footways of or next unto any Streets or public Places within the fame parochial or other District as aforefaid; then and in every fuch Cafe it fhall and may be lawful to and for any Juftice of the Peace for the City, Borough, or County wherein the faid parochial or other Diftrict may be fituate, and he is hereby required, upon Complaint to him made by any One or more credible Witnefs or Witneffes upon Oath, to iffue a Summons requiring the Perfon or Perfons accused of fuch Offence, or the Owner or Owners of the Goods, Materials, Meat, Offal, Garden Pots, Matters or Things, or of the Coaches, Carts, Waggons, Drays, Wheelbarrows, Handbarrows, Sledges, Trucks, or other Carriages which fhall be fo fet or placed, expofed or fet out, or the Master or Masters of the Perfon or Perfons, by whofe Servants, or by the Perfon or Perfons employed by whom, fuch Offence shall have been committed, to appear before him, or before any other Justice of the Peace for the fame City, Borough, or County, as fhall be then or there prefent, at fuch Time and Place as shall be in fuch Summons fpecified, and then and there to proceed to examine upon Oath or Affirmation any Witness or Witneffes who fhall appear or be produced to give Evidence touching fuch Offence; and if the Perfon or Perfons fo offending fhall be convicted of any or either of the Offences aforefaid, upon his, her, or their own Confeffion, or upon the Oath or Affirmation of One or more credible Witness or Witnesses as aforefaid, he, she, or they who shall be fo convicted, and the Owner or Owners of fuch Goods, Mate
