On motion of Mr. Fisher, The following resolution was twice read, considered and agreed to, viz: Resolved, That the President pro tempore of the Senate be authorized to appoint four persons as clerks, and two persons as stenographers, to standing committees of the Senate, and to assign them to such committees as he may deem advisable; and that he be also authorized to appoint sufficient additional assistant doorkeepers to prevent intrusion on the floor of the Senate, and to maintain order in the galleries and lobbies of the Senate; payment for the same to be provided for in the general appropriation bill, not to exceed six dollars per diem.
