The Northampton Bank commenced its operations the 20th of December, 1814, and on the first Monday of May following, declared a dividend of sixty cents on each share, amounting to 1,500 dollars, and equal to 8 per cent. per annum on the amount at that time paid in; and on the first Monday of November following, declared a dividend of one dollar and fifty cents per share, amounting to 3,750 dollars, and equal to 7 per cent. per annum.
