Mr. Reed présented the petition of sundry inhabitants of Westmoreland county, praying that a company may be incorporated to make a turnpike road from Martin Rugers to Greensburg; and Said petition was read and referred to Mr. Reed, Mr. Lane and Mr. McFarland, with leave to report by bill or otherwise. Mr. Reed presented the petition of Joseph Budd and Joshua Budd praying to be authorized by law to erect a bridge over the river Youghiogany, at the place where the state road from Washington to Somerset crosses said river; and The same was read and referred to Mr. Reed, Mr. I. Weaver and Mr. Lane, with leave to report by bill or otherwise. Mr. Morgan presented the petition of Edward W. Carr, stating that in September 1818, he was employed to repair and clean the fire arms belonging to seven companies of the 25th Regiment, P. M. that the work was accordingly performed, but that he has since been unable to obtain remuneration for his services, and praying that the legislature will order an immediate payment of his claims and Said petition was read and referred to Mr. Morgan, Mr. Welles and Mr. Lane.
