Pearson, or order, the sum eight hundred and fifty-five dollars, in full, for rations furnished the detachment of militia under his command, late in the public service. Section 3. And be it further enacted by the authority aforesaid, That the accountant officers of this commonwealth be, and they are hereby authorized and required, to adjust and settle the accounts of John Phillips, late paymaster of Pennsylvania militia in the service of the United States, for monies expended by him under the act of the 27th day of February, 1813, on their receiving muster and pay rolls authenticated in the usual form and manner, and that the said officers be authorized to admit to the credit of the said John Phillips, such sums of money as he shall by proper vouchers shew, have been paid to commissioned officers for the use of a private or privates of the company or regiment to which such officer belonged; and may, with the approbation of the Governor, allow the said John Phillips, such compensation in addition to what is already provided for, as the nature of his services may seem to them to require. Strike out the preamble. Amend the title so as to read, An act to authorize the settlement of certain accounts of William Hamilton, John L. Pearson and John Philips.'
