Mr. Frailey from the committee of accounts, made further report in part, which was read as follows, to wit.

That they have settled the account of Joseph Shannon, a member of Senate, for his daily pay from the 5th day of December last to the 9th day of March, both days included-96 days, 500 miles, 459 dollars: They offer the following resolution, viz.

Resolved, That the Speaker draw his warrant in favor of Joseph Shannon for four hundred and fifty-nine dollars.

A supplement to the act, entitled, an act for the prevention of vice and immorality, and of unlawful gaming, and to restrain disorderly sports and dissipation, passed the 22d day of April one thousand seven hundred and ninety-four,' was read the second time as reported by a committee of the whole yesterday. Sections now 1. to 4. were severally considered and agreed to. Section now 5. being under consideration,

To postpone the further consideration of said section for the present, for the purpose of introducing a new section in the words following, to wit.

Sect. 5. And be it further enacted by the authority aforesaid, That from and after the 1st day of October next, any person or persons who may travel on the first day of the week (commonly called Sunday) in any carriage of pleasure drawn by one or more horses, every person so offending shall for every such offence be subjected to the penalties prescribed in this act and the act to which this is a supplement. Provided, That nothing herein contained shall prevent any person or persons from using their carriages in going to and returning from divine service, or in going to or returning from funerals on the first day of the week, commonly called Sunday.
