Mr. Biddle presented a petition from Daniel Sharp, brigade inspector of the 1st brigade, 1st division, Pennsylvania militia, stating that he has been directed to take charge of the state arsenal in the city of Philadelphia, and praying that he may be allowed a compensation therefor; and Said petition was read and referred to Mr. Biddle, Mr. Shearer, Mr. Forster, Mr. G. Weaver and Mr. Poe. Mr. Welles presented a petition from William Means and T. Overton, praying that a law may be passed enacting that the seat of justice for Bradford county may in future be known and called by the name of Williamston; and Said petition was read and referred to Mr. Welles, Mr. Ross and Mr. Jarrett. He also informed, That the House of Representatives have receded from their non-concurrence in the amendment by Senate, to the bill, en titled An act to authorize the Governor to incorporate a company to erect a bridge over the river Schuylkill, at or near Lewis' ferry in the county of Berks.'
