Resolved, That the Speaker draw his warrant on the state treasurer, in favor of Joseph A. M.Jimsey, clerk of Senate, for thirteen dollars and seven cents in full of his account, for payment to printers, for the purchase of wood and other contingencies, to this date.

On motion,

Said report was again read, and the resolution thereto attached, considered and adopted.

Whereupon,

A warrant was accordingly so drawn.

Mr. Frailey from the committee of accounts made further re] port in part, which was read as follows, to wit.

That a further sum of money ought to be placed in the hands

of the clerk of Senate, to enable him to pay future contingent expenses. Therefore,

Resolved, That the Speaker draw his warrant on the state treasurer in favor of Joseph A. M.Jimsey, clerk of Senate, for the sum of six hundred dollars to enable him to pay future contingencies, he to account for the same in the settlement of his account with Senate.

On motion,

Said report was again read, and the resolution thereto attached, considered and adopted.

Whereupon,

A warrant was accordingly so drawn.

The bill from the House of Representatives, entitled

A supplement to the act, entitled, an act appropriating certain militia fines to the improvement of public roads,' was read the third time, and

Resolved, That this bill pass.

Ordered, That the clerk return said bill to the House of Representatives with information that Senate have passed the same with amendments, in which the concurrence of that house is requested.

The bill, entitled

An act to authorize the Governor to incorporate a company to erect a bridge over the river Juniata at the borough of Huntingdon,' was read the third third time, and

Resolved, That this bill pass.

Ordered, That the clerk present said bill to the House of Representatives for concurrence.

The bill from the House of Representatives, entitled

An act to revive and extend certain acts therein mentioned, relative to the building of bridges over the Monongahela and Allegheny rivers opposite Pittsburg, and to authorize the Governor to subscribe for a certain number of shares to the stock of the same,' was read the second time as reported by a committee of the whole yesterday.

The several sections were considered and agreed to.

The title being amended to read

An act relative to the building of certain bridges over the rivers Monongahela and Allegheny opposite Pittsburg,' was agreed to.

Ordered, That said bill be trnscribed for a third reading.

The bill, entitled

An act to incorporate the city of Pittsburg,' was read the second time as reported by a committee of the whole yesterday, considered by section and agreed to.

Ordered, That said bill be prepared for a third reading.

The bill from the House of Representatives, entitled

An act authorizing James Wilson of York county, to convey the right of a tract of land of Mary Wilson, a lunatic, and for other purposes,' was read the second time as reported by a committee of the whole yesterday, considered by section and agreed to. Ordered, That said bill be prepared for a third reading.

Agreeably to order,

The Senate resolved itself into a committee of the whole, Mr. McFarland in the chair, on the bill, entitled

An act for the relief of certain widows and children of those who died whilst in the service of this state during the late war with Great Britain."

And after some time,

The committee rose and reported said bill with amendments. Agreeably to order,

The Senate resolved itself into a committee of the whole, Mr. Erwin in the chair, on the bill from the House of Representatives, entitled

• An act for holding special courts of common pleas,'

And after some time,

The committee rose, reported progress, and asked leave to sit again; leave was granted, and

Ordered, That the committee of the whole sit again on Wednesday next.

Agreeably to order,

The Senate resolved itself into a committee of the whole, Mr. M'Sherry in the chair, on the bill, entitled

An act to provide for the better preservation and increase. of the library of this commonwealth.'

And after some time,

The committee rose and reported said bill with amendments. Agreeably to order,

The Senate resolved itself into a committee of the whole, Mr. Morgan in the chair, on the bill from the House of Representatives, entitled

• An act to enable the Governor to incorporate a company for making an artificial road from Henry Hews', in the county of Lycoming, by the best and nearest route to Aaron Bloss' in the county of Tioga.'

And after some time,

The committee rose and reported said bill with amendments. The clerk of the House of Representatives being introduced, presented for concurrence the bill, entitled

An act to authorize the Governor to incorporate a company to erect a bridge over the river Schuylkill, at or near Lewis's ferry in the county of Berks.?

He informed,

That the House of Representatives have concurred in the amendments by Senate, to the bill, entitled

An act granting a sum of money to aid in removing obstrus tions out of Sheerman's creek.'

He further informed,

That the House of Representatives have concurred in all the amendments by Senate, to the bill, entitled

An act to enable the Governor to incorporate a company for making an artificial road from Jersey Shore in the county of Ly

coming by the best and nearest route to Coudersport in the county of Potter,' except the following, viz.

Strike out section 4. in which they have non-concurred.
The bill presented for concurrence was read the first time.
Adjourned until 10 o'clock on Monday morning.

MONDAY, February 12, 1816.

Mr. Reed obtained leave of absence for two weeks from Thursday next.

Mr. Graham obtained leave of absence for Mr. Poe for a few days.

Mr. I. Weaver presented a petition from sundry inhabitants of Delaware county, remonstrating against an extension of the time for completing the Ridley turnpike road; and

The same was read and laid on the table.

Mr. Frailey presented a petition from Everard Penrose of Berks county, trustee for Margaret Fortman, deceased, praying that he may be authorized to make a deed to John Frey for a certain tract of land; and

Said petition was read and referred to Mr. Frailey, Mr. Smith and Mr. Murray.

Mr. Frailey presented a petition from sundry inhabitants of Pike township in the county of Berks, praying that said township may be erected into a seperate election district, and that their elections may be held at the house of George Oyster; and Said petition was read and referred to the committee on election districts.
