After more than 50 years of practice, and based on the previous published works, this author summarized the language of paper cuttingand applied the composition rule to paper cutting. In this book, the author attempts to introduce the basic principles for paper cutting to readers.

About the author (2021)

Yunfeng Zhao, born in Heilongjiang province of China, received her Master’s degree in engineering in 1992, and now lives in Ottawa, Canada. Her interest in paper cutting was triggered by the patterns made by her grandma when she was about 4 years old. Then she started to learn the techniques from grandma. Paper cutting helped the author to get rid of difficult situations. Therefore, it becomes herhobby and has accompanied her throughout the life. She is grateful to her grandma for teaching the papercutting skill. Today, the author selected the patterns for more than 35 objects, creatures, and culture elements, compiled into this book, and would like to share the knowledge with readers and welcome any comment.
