About the author (2011)

Kathryn Birch, Ph.D. is a scientist who has worked on McArdle Disease for four years. She completed a Ph.D. creating cell models of McArdle Disease. During her studies she read most of the papers published on McArdle Disease, building an up-to-date knowledge of the historical and current scientific and medical research on the condition. She has attended McArdle Clinics and AGSD-UK Annual Conferences, during which she has met dozens of people with McArdle disease and learned from their experiences
