How can one review a classic? Definitely worth reading both for entertainment and for insight into the culture of the Caliphate. If you read some of these stories as a child, you read the Bowdlerized version. This one is the real thing. Read full review

"Rendered into English from the literal & complete French translation". Flowery translation of the famous stories, exotic and erotic. Fascinating how different the "original" version of say, Aladdin, is from the versions we think we know. The volumes I have originally belonged to a clergyman. Read full review
