I first read this book about 25 years ago and it is firmly entrenched as something to be read and perhaps enjoyed by those who remember a time when football in Toronto only meant following the Argonauts and their perpetual follies. Fandom was much different in past generations and it is interesting to read about the abuse and indifference tolerated by fans who not only accepted it but expected it from ownership of professional teams be it intentional or not. This book about sport and Canadiana is a must read for die-hard Argo fans who again find themselves having their meddle tested by this team. The only problem is that no longer are there many fans left of this once proud franchise.
