Miracle Mile: A Short Story

Front Cover
Frog Hollow Press, 2008 - Friendship - 43 pages
The title is taken from a 1954 Vancouver race when two competitors, Roger Bannister and John Landy, both managed to run a mile in under four minutes. The race was notable in athletics and in popular culture. This short story is about two professional runners who've been training with and competing against each other since grade school, and who run four-minute miles every day. Their achievements and sacrifices are now commonplace.
