Isaac Branscum (1835-1917) was born in Wayne County, Kentucky. The Branscums emigrated into Johnson County, Illinois, where Isaac married Martha Elizabeth Vancleve (1836-1914) in 1857. They raised their family in Illinois until 1875 when they moved to Stone County, Arkansas. Ancestors and descendants lived in Virginia, Kentucky, Illinois, Arkansas, Oklahoma, California, Texas, Idaho, Colorado, Oregon, and elsewhere.
