Beginnings - The Spiritual Life

Front Cover
Abingdon Press, 2006 - Religion - 185 pages
A ten-week, video-based study of Christianity spirituality that introduces and explores "habits of the heart," including centering, loving, serving, questioning, and engaging. This small-group study, following up Beginnings: an introduction to Christian faith, can be used after that study or as a stand-alone program. Each session begins with a meal, at church or in a home, at which particpants get to know each other and begin to build community. Particpants then view a 20-minute video, in which Rob Weber explores the week's topic through story and Scripture. After the video particpants break into groups to discuss and share, study Scripture, explore Christian spirituality, and grow in depth of experience through the small group
