About the author (2011)

Since she was little, Jeni Wittrock has loved reading, writing, and animals. In 2005, after earning her MFA in creative writing, Jeni began writing and editing children's books for Capstone Press. Her interests include natural history, biology, science, and pet care, so it's no wonder that she often writes books about those topics. Jeni shares her Minneapolis home with her beloved furry family members--cats, rabbits, tarantulas, and many other misfit pets. In her spare time, she volunteers for a local rabbit rescue and adoption agency.
