Showgirls, Teen Wolves and Astro Zombies: My year-long quest to find and watch the worst movie ever made

Front Cover
Murdoch Books, Jan 1, 2010 - Performing Arts - 352 pages
With another year drawing to close, film critic Michael Adams found himself making an unusual New Year's resolution: in the next 12 months, he would find the answer to the question: 'What is the worst movie ever made?' He would do so by watching at least one terrible film per day. For a year. That's 365 bad movies in 365 days. No fast-forwarding. No pressing the stop button.

This is comic-quest memoir mixed with 'extreme' movie criticism and laced with film trivia and celebrity interviews. As the months go by, Michael becomes hopelessly addicted, knowing that the bad movie he views today will only be supplanted by a worse one tomorrow.

About the author (2010)

Michael Adams is the Reviews Editor for Empire magazine, a columnist for Movieline.com, Rotten Tomatoes.com and The Wrap.com. For a short time he was co-host of The Movie Show on SBS-TV before returning to his native face-for-radio environment as a reviewer on ABC's airwaves. Unlucky film fans who glimpsed his 'acting' in 1991 horror flick Bloodlust will not be looking forward to his cameo as a zombie in George A. Romero's Survival Of The Dead. Despite being shot in the head in that film, Michael continues to live in Sydney with the most patient Clare, the very precocious Ava and two ridiculously pampered cats.
