Life is a funny old thing with its ups and downs. Sometimes we struggle through it wondering what its all about. There are people in far worse situations than I ever was. I wasn't beaten or raped or anything like that. I didn't have the worst childhood either, although it was bad enough to have an effect on me. It was more the mental and emotional rather than physical that screwed my head up. I was born in 1972 and spent most of my childhood in and out of care. I have been from day centres to foster carers, to children's homes and to hostels. The world hated me so I hated it right back, until a few years ago. I have been in some messes, made many mistakes and somehow I have always managed to come through them. I have been a single parent, and lived with anti social behaviour. I have been unemployed and divorced twice. Maybe my eagerness to please people is what has led me to take on so many challenges, and I have worked very hard to achieve my goals. This is my story of how I got, "From Care to Somewhere."
