User Review - Flag as inappropriateAn indispensable reference every laboratory should have in their library!
User Review - Flag as inappropriateI am 82 years old and an Emeritus professor of MIT and the Colorado School of Mines. I have been using the Handbook of Chemistry and Physics since I received a copy on my 15th birthday. I have owned possibly 10 copies and given away 8 to colleagues and disciples.
I am a practicing physical chemist (out of Lipscomb, out of Pauling) working primarily on renewable energy. I still use the HCP at least weekly.
It is impossible toknow all properties of all chemicals, but being familiar with real data puts you in the driver seat for using science as opposed to dumb luck. It pays to read the Table of Contents of this book and know the wide variety of information it is likely to provide.
Review: CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics
User Review - Steve Stuart - GoodreadsThis reference book is indispensable for any practicing chemist, or chemistry student. Many schools and companies have access to the online version, but it's still handy to have a copy on your desk, or in your lab. Get any edition you like, the data doesn't change much from year to year. Read full review

User Review - Ian Potter - GoodreadsNot much to review...it's a textbook. Just thought I'd add some of the books from my bookshelf at work (though I have the 92nd edition). Read full review
