"Video Movie Guide" has been a Ballantine staple for 17 years. Fans and reviewers alike agree that Martin & Porter deliver the perfect review -- plus pertinent info on official rating, cast, running time, etc. Their five-star rating system -- including the dreaded Turkey -- guarantees viewers that they will never again have to sit through a clunker.

VMG is thoroughly updated and edited every year to keep the commentary and listings fresh, adding between 500 to 800 new entries. The guide also includes DVD listings, Academy Award listings, and information on where to buy hard-to-find videos. The Cast and Director indexes, amazingly complete, are a treasure trove for students and fans.
