I purchased this book many years ago and found it very enlighting. The shredout concept was of particular interest to me in that it provided ways to look at various living systems from micro to macro. It has a lot of detail which I never was able to get around to studying, but appears to have influenced my thinking which was later documented in a series of blogs http://www.bcswonline.com/blog/index.html
I still have a copy and refer to it.

Seriously hardcore TEO (theory of everything). Miller totally gets it but puts in a bit too much excessive details. His brilliance and the thesis are very interesting and deserving of further study as a model for complex adaptive systems. Read full review
