User Review  - Windsor - Goodreads

Overall a decent book on the Duke. A little pro British for me and slightly too political considering there is a sequel to the book on his mediocre political affairs. Still rather detailed accounts of talavera, Vitoria, and the Waterloo campaign. I would cautiously recommend this book to friends. Read full review

Comprehensive and yet concise, Longford's portrait of the Iron Duke stirs readers who don't have time to read lengthy bibliographies. Read full review
