A short biography of Wellington, the Iron Duke, one of the best known military commanders of British history. Covers not only Wellington the war hero and Waterloo, but also his political career and Wellington the ladies' man and his marriage to Kitty Pakenham.
Overall a decent book on the Duke. A little pro British for me and slightly too political considering there is a sequel to the book on his mediocre political affairs. Still rather detailed accounts of talavera, Vitoria, and the Waterloo campaign. I would cautiously recommend this book to friends.Read full review
