Paul Farmer is the Presley Professor of Medical Anthropology at Harvard Medical School, an attending physician in infectious disease and Chief of the Division of Social Medicine and Health Inequalities at Brigham and Women's Hospital, and co-founder of Partners In Health, an international non-profit organization that provides free health care and undertakes advocacy activities on behalf of those who are sick and living in poverty
